There are flaxseed oil side effects that you need to be aware of. Flaxseed oil is available in capsules and in the liquid form (either plain flavored or in “optimized” fatty acid blends).

When you take the product in high doses, flaxseed oil side effects are possible for problems to occur. However, most people don’t experience side effects while taking flaxseed oil.
According to Webmd.com, flaxseed oil is used for many conditions. Flaxseed oil is used for treating osteoarthritis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), anxiety, vaginal infections, “hardening of the arteries” (atherosclerosis), dry eyes, heart disease, ADHD, and diabetes.
However, there isn’t enough scientific evidence to determine whether or not it is effective for any of them. Even though with the use of flax seed oil as a dietary supplement, many users report that conditions like psoriasis, dandruff, eczema and dry skin have shown improvement.
For most people, flaxseed oil is unlikely to cause side effects. Some people might experience diarrhea or loose stools if you take more than 30 grams of flaxseed oil (about two tablespoonfuls a day).
When it is applied to the skin, not enough is known about the safety of flaxseed oil.

- Breast-feeding

Before and after surgery, flaxseed oil might increase the risk of bleeding. At least, stop using it 2 weeks before a schedule surgery.
- Bleeding disorders
Severe bleeding in patients with bleeding disorders, flaxseed oil might increase the risk. If you have a bleeding disorder, it is important to talk to your health provider before using flaxseed oil.
Flaxseed oil is healthy fat for one’s diet as long as it is not used excessively or abused. It is necessary to understand that flaxseed oil is cold oil, do not to cook or never heat. It should always be used at room temperature or cold.
